Health Benefits of Meditation
"Yes, it's true..."

Continuing in more detail from the previous meditation benefits, these are health benefits of meditation techniques based on science and the nature of love and compassion:

  1. Lowered blood pressure, improved circulation. Stress increases your risk of heart attack and stroke by up to 450%. On the other hand, love and compassion greatly increases the health of your heart. Meditating on love and compassion, your heart will beat longer and stronger for yourself and those you love and care for.
  2. Meditation relieves stress, thereby decreasing cell damage, strengthening your immune system, and slowing down the aging process. So your body, brain, and even your skin will enjoy the health benefits of meditation.
  3. Positive Emotions/Feelings: Compassionate love causes emotional stability. You're in turn able to provide yourself and your family with more comfort and care. Loving the mind you're in, you'll create a more stable, loving home because you are at home in your own mind and body.
  4. Better communication and problem-solving skills: Work problems or family conflicts will be solved with tolerant love yet decisive compassion. You'll see long-term solutions because you remain calm and concentrated in heated situations.

Compassion is a stunning decision-making and conflict-solving tool. When you're making decisions on behalf of many rather than just one, you discover how to steer and spread joy and success. As well as how to share and deal with stress. It's a win-win recipe for you, your colleagues, and your family.

  5. More relaxed, open and outgoing. Your work and family relationships will improve because your intimate relationship with yourself is filled with open, outgoing love and compassion.
  6. Better listener/Improved memory: Meditating, you learn to listen to yourself and your body. Referred to as the second brain, your gut instinct will give you crucial feedback when it's time to make decisions.

And if you make a mistake, compassionate love will relieve your/your loved ones' suffering because you are doing the relieving. And you likely won't make the same mistakes twice because your memory also improves.

  7. Improving your concentration/focus, you'll be able to more effectively deal with chores and must-dos, and spend more time on want-tos and love-tos. And when you're busy, your mind is still there, present and working with you...

If you're taking your children somewhere, your mind will be there to protect and care for you and them. And when it's time to relax with your friends or your precious spouse, you are present, enjoying the experience of real-time life.

  8. Better sleep: You'll sleep more peacefully and wake up rested. Relieving stress, you will also need less sleep so you have more time and energy to care for yourself and your family.
  9. Improving your creativity and learning faster, you'll quickly adjust to unexpected life events and possible causes of stress, and provide yourself and your family with a stable yet soft spot to relax in.
  10. Decreased joint and muscle tension/pain. Your relaxed and stable mind will relax your muscles and make you far more resistant to headaches and joint pain. You'll learn how and when to take breaks, rest and recover, and relieve your neck, back, and joints from the pains of stress and tension.
  11. Diet/Exercise: You'll make better lifestyle decisions because you are in touch with yourself and those you love. By improving your eating habits, you will enjoy a more stable, positive mood. So you'll eat healthy because you love the mind and body you're in.

You also tend to exercise more because you love the body you're in, and the way your healthy body and lifestyle breathes positive emotions into your mind and family.

From Criticism and Disbelief
to Awareness and Compassion

Nearly a decade ago, when I started researching meditation, I was extremely skeptical to the over-the-top barrage of health benefits meditation techniques seemingly could produce.

Could it really be so good and true?

Since then I've regularly practiced, designed, and enjoyed meditation techniques while traversing the Western hemisphere from the Norwegian Arctic to Los Angeles, studying more than 1,100 scientific books and articles, trying to figure It out.

Yes. Meditation truly works.

It was my science-ridden skepticism that was over-the-top. Love and happiness are beyond definition. There's no scientific consensus on what they even mean!

You will catch more than a glimpse of them in the science of compassion.

But still, I must admit...

"The health benefits of meditation even go beyond what clinical studies can accurately measure." There, I said it.

"1 Mind and Body - 1 Human Being"

So why are there so many health benefits to meditation?

Because you are one mind/body - 1 interactive system, not mind and body.

Simplified...

Your mind/brain can act on all parts of your body. Through feedback, your mind interacts with the body parts and the external environment.

The mind also interacts with itself receiving signals from the body.

It's about interaction, an intimate mind-body relationship. This relationship should be full of affection, love and compassion. That's when you start enjoying the many health benefits of meditation.

Through these meditation techniques, you build a loving, caring relationship with yourself. You become your own best friend.

The scope of these health benefits of meditation is beyond accurate scientific measurements.

So in this case, the smartest approach is to perform the "scientific experiments" on yourself and feel the significant results.

And A-N-Y-O-N-E can do these step-by-step techniques.

It's really about attitude, not technique.

And it starts here: Learning meditation the smart way.
